The function “titration” enables a user to change flow rate during running without stopping the pump, that is, without stopping infusion. The pump can detect air in the tube and give the alarm instantly. When the door is open, the tube clamp operates automatically to prevent free-flow. If the pump detects occlusion in the tube, it sounds an alarm instantly. KVO functions to maintain patency after end of infusion. After the pump is running, the user can lock the front panel (keypad) of the pump by turning on the lock switch of the rear case. The level is displayed graphically as low, medium and high on the front panel according to the charging status of the rechargeable battery. There is a clutch bearing to prevent the motor from rotating in the reverse direction. Fast infusion of arbitrary bolus dose during the pump running can be executed by only a single push of the purge key on the front panel. A user can obtain fully detailed information about set volume, volume delivered and flow rate at a glance without any additional key operation, since there are three independent LED displays respectively. By adopting graphical display for the pump’s status, i.e. drop LED, better visual information is provided to the user.  Also, a large display on the front panel provides a better view at a distance. Multi-position clamp makes it possible for the pump to be fixed in the horizontal or vertical direction. Replacement of the battery, without disassembling the pump’s case, can be done easily.
